Tracy Leeper's Rock-n-Roll PledgePage

Hi Family and Friends,

On January 11, 2004, I will be taking on the challenge of participating in the Arizona Rock & Roll Marathon, as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training Program.

I am training in honor of two very special people. The first is Drew, my Sister-in-Law Erin's, husband. Drew was diagnosed on July 22nd with a spinal tumor. This type of tumor, plasmacytoma, is one of the many blood related cancers the Society supports. As I start my marathon training, Drew is starting his radiation therapy.

My second honored teammate is Kyle Blocksom. Kyle is 8 years old and was diagnosed in May of 2002 with Burkitts Lymphoma. After undergoing six weeks of chemotherapy he is now in remission. Kyle himself is a serious athlete. He plays flag football and at a recent track meet won 1st place in the long jump and 100 meter dash.

Finding a cure for Lymphoma and blood related cancers is a cause that I believe in passionately. I have committed to raise $2600 to support The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in their fight. 75% of all funds go directly to research.

Training for a marathon will be a challenge, but nothing in comparison to the daily challenges that Drew and Kyle face in overcoming these diseases. Please join me in spirit by contributing. Whatever you can give will help – it all adds up. Please see the donate tab for more infomation.

Please comeback and visit my site often...I'll be adding photos of my honored teammates, my training and running friends too!

Love,

Tracy
